New home-care option available to Illinois families caring for Alzheimer patients

Lifelink Home Care Services is expanding the Gentlecare service model it offers to Alzheimer and dementia patients at its residential care facility to a program specifically tailored for in-home care. The "Alzheimer at Home" program was launched in August and brings Lifelink caregivers trained in the Gentlecare service model into patients' homes for the first time in Illinois. This treatment service model focuses on three essential areas. People -- families, friends and professionals -- play a vital and engaging role in the development of the Gentlecare environment.
