Illinois-based Sloane Vision Center acquires WaveLight's new laser vision correction system

Sloane Vision Center announced that it is the first LASIK institution in the U.S. Midwest to acquire the new Allegretto Wave Eye-Q system sold by WaveLight, Inc. This next generation platform provides the fastest LASIK treatments available. The Eye-Q system, manufactured by WaveLight AG, corrects one diopter of nearsightedness or farsightedness in just two seconds. Therefore, the average treatment time to complete the LASIK procedure is typically between just 8 and 10 seconds.
