Chronic disease is the number one cause of death in the United States and the greatest threat to the US health care system. That is why a bipartisan group of patients, providers, community organizations, business and labor groups, and health policy experts are coming together on May 15th to launch the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD), a coalition committed to making chronic disease the key health issue in the 2008 presidential election.
