Protest in St. Petersburg, Florida: Governor Crist, Please Stop Changes to Florida Medicaid That Hurt HIV/AIDS Patients, Says AHF

On the heels of a recent, well-publicized Georgetown University study citing failures of the state's Medicaid reform pilot program launched in Duval and Broward counties, a coalition of physicians, nurses, social workers, concerned community members, and Florida HIV/AIDS patients, will participate in a Rally & Protest, on Thursday, May 17th at 12:00 p.m. Noon in front of the St. Petersburg office of Florida State Governor Charlie Crist at 140 Seventh Ave. South Bayboro Hall to express concerns over recent changes to Florida Medicaid's HIV/AIDS program that threaten to negatively impact over 8,000 people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
