The SCOOTER Store Drops Lawsuit Against Government Seeking Payment of Medicare Claims

The SCOOTER Store announced that it has settled a civil lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice and relinquished its right to collect Medicare reimbursements for certain power wheelchairs and scooters, which the company maintains were properly delivered to qualified Medicare beneficiaries.

"We are pleased that this settlement resolves this dispute over unpaid claims," said Doug Harrison, The SCOOTER Store's CEO and Founder. "The government has also dropped their countersuit and is no longer pursuing unsubstantiated allegations about our business practices. We are pleased that this matter is now behind us. We are very happy today."
