Researchers from Tohoku University report details of new studies and findings in the area of otology

New research, "Audiometry with nasally presented masking noise: novel diagnostic method for patulous eustachian tube," is the subject of a report. According to a study from Sendai, Japan, "Nasal-noise masking audiometry was developed to assess the acoustic transfer function from the nasopharyngeal cavity to the middle ear via patulous eustachian tube (ET). Prospective."
