Experimental Porcine Model Therapy

Scientists at University of Wisconsin, Department of Biomedical Engineering publish new data on experimental porcine model therapy

Data detailed in "Finite-element analysis of ex vivo and in vivo hepatic cryoablation" have been presented. "Cryoablation is a widely used method for the treatment of nonresectable primary and metastatic liver tumors. A model that can accurately predict the size of a cryolesion may allow more effective treatment of tumor, while sparing normal liver tissue," scientists writing in the journal IEEE Transactions On Biomedical Engineering report.
