XLHealth and CVS to provide medication advice to chronically ill Medicare beneficiaries

XLHealth, a disease management company, and CVS/pharmacy, a retail pharmacy, have partnered to provide free one-on-one medication consultations to a segment of the Medicare beneficiaries participating in the Tennessee Medicare Health Support pilot program.

The 3-year Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services-sponsored program is operated by XLHealth and was launched in January 2006, to offer free health support services to approximately 20,000 Medicare beneficiaries in Tennessee, who were invited to participate.
