Research from Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Department of Hematology has provided new data on acute promyelocytic leukemia

Fresh data on acute promyelocytic leukemia are presented in the report "Differentiating effect of thalidomide and FGM-CS combination on HL-60 acute promyelocytic leukemia cells." In this recent report published in the journal Experimental Oncology, researchers in Ankara, Turkey conducted a study "To investigate whether granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) with or without thalidomide can induce apoptosis and differentiation of HL-60 acute promyelocytic leukemia cell line in vitro."
