According to recent research from the United States, "Increasingly, peripancreatic fluid collections (PFCs) are managed endoscopically with conventional transmural drainage (CTD). The role of interventional EUS in drainage of PFCs requires further clarification, because the procedure is technically challenging, with limited availability."
