Bioinformatics company announced new distribution agreement

PerkinElmer, Inc., (NYSE: PKI), a health sciences technology company, announced a new distribution agreement with leading bioinformatics developer, Nonlinear Dynamics. Under the agreement, Nonlinear will develop a powerful 2D gel analysis product exclusively for PerkinElmer.

According to the statement, the ProFINDER 2D product will increase objectivity and reduce hands-on time for the in-depth analysis of 2D electrophoresis gels. ProFINDER 2D will also extend analytical processing power, deliver consistent results, and allow the user to apply a more routine approach to the set-up, processing and editing of 2D gels.
