Battery-powered gamma detection probe available for lymph node mapping

SenoRx Inc. announced the U.S. product launch of its first battery-powered Gamma detection probe for intraoperative lymph node mapping. Gamma Finder is the first and only cordless hand-held probe to detect the emission of gamma rays.

The Gamma Finder detects and gives a numerical indication and an acoustic signal when close to a Gamma ray emitting source such as those used in Sentinel Node Mapping and other Oncology procedures.

The product is 510(k) cleared in the United States and is CE marked in Europe.
