Ion-technology company announces 56% revenue growth for third quarter

Implant Sciences Corp. (IMX) announced financial results for the 3 and 9 months ended March 31, 2004.

For the 3 months ended March 31, 2004, the company recorded total revenues of $2,635,000 as compared to $1,693,000 for the comparable prior-year period, an increase of $942,000 or 56%.

The increase is attributable to revenue growth in the three core business units: prostate seeds, contract manufacturing, and government contracts. Revenue of the I-Plant prostate seed for the 3 months ended March 31, 2004, was approximately $853,000 as compared to $623,000 for the comparable prior-year period, an increase of $230,000 or 37%.
