Research products maker reports 7% increase in sales

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., (BIO; BIOb), a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research products and clinical diagnostics, announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2004.

Third quarter net sales from continuing operations were $258.8 million, up 7.0% compared to the $241.8 million reported for the same quarter of 2003. This increase was primarily the result of growth in the company's main business segments as well as currency effects.
