Company announces CODA balloon catheter is available to endovascular market

Cook, Inc., a privately held medical-device manufacturer, announced the availability of the CODA balloon catheter to the endovascular market.

The new catheter is designed for temporary occlusion of large blood vessels and expanding vascular prostheses. With its configuration, CODA helps to optimize stent graft geometry after implantation of an endograft during endovascular aortic repair (EVAR). EVAR is a minimally invasive procedure to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms, one of the leading causes of death in the U.S.
