Medical device company appoints executive VP

Cepheid (CPHD) announced an executive management appointment effective August 29, 2005.

David H. Persing, MD, PhD, will join the company as executive VP, chief medical and technical officer with responsibility for Research and Development. In this capacity, Persing will report to John L. Bishop, CEO.
