Triple-site triggered atrial pacing reduces the risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) after heart bypass surgery.

"Recently, several temporary multisite pacing methods have been developed for prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation (AF)," cardiologists in Turkey explained.

In their study, B. Ozin and coauthors at the Baskent University Hospital "evaluated the effect of triple-site temporary triggered pacing in the AAT mode on the development of AF in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) at high risk for developing postoperative AF."
