Endoscopic membranectomy with a high-frequency-wave snare/cutter in upper GI tract effective

Endoscopic surgery using a high-frequency-wave snare/cutter can safely resolve congenital gastrointestinal membranous stenosis in children.

"As endoscopic equipment and instruments have been improved, the indication for endoscopic surgery has been extended." according to pediatric surgeons in Japan, who successfully performed "endoscopic membranectomy for congenital membranous stenosis in the upper gastrointestinal tract" in two patients.
