Analgesic efficacy of epidural ropivacaine 0.2% not improved by sufentanil

Epidural infusion of ropivacaine 0.2% provides effective analgesia after hip replacement surgery, which is not improved by the addition of sufentanil.

Anesthesiologists in Germany conducted a "prospective, randomized, single-blind study" to "compare the analgesic effectiveness of postoperative epidural ropivacaine 0.2% with and without the addition of sufentanil following total hip replacement."
