Laryngeal mask airways developer signs 3-year agreement with U.S. group purchaser Consorta

LMA North America Inc. announced that it has signed a 3-year sole source agreement with Consorta Inc., a group-purchasing and resource management organization in the U.S. healthcare industry, to supply its laryngeal mask airway range of supraglottic airway management devices.

Valued at more than US$10 million, the exclusive agreement provides LMA's products at significant savings to Consorta membership, which encompasses more than 2,400 care sites representing 78,000 patient care beds. The contract is effective February 1, 2006 through January 31, 2009.
