Handheld ultrasound device provides rapid detection of postoperative pleural effusion

A group of cardiologists in Italy conducted a study "to assess the potential value of hand-carried ultrasound (HCU) devices in the diagnosis and follow-up" of patients with PE after cardiac surgery.
