8-iso-PGF2alpha is linked to coronary artery disease in coronary angiography patients

Plasma 8-isoprostane levels are linked to the presence of coronary artery disease in patients undergoing coronary angiography. According to a study from People's Republic Of China, "Oxidative stress may play a role in the development of atherosclerosis. The purpose of the present study was to explore the relationship between 8-isoprostaglandin F2 alpha (8-iso-PGF2alpha ) levels and the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) and to also clarify whether 8-isoPGF2alpha might add independently to measures of CAD extent."
