Investigators at Kyushu University zero in on mucoepidermoid cancer

According to a study from Fukuoka, Japan, "Nuclear/cytoplasmic accumulation of P-catenin is mainly regulated by its degradation, which is initiated by interaction with adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein. Accumulation of P-catenin activates the transcription of I of the target oncogenic genes, cyclin D1, in the Wnt/Wingless pathway."
