Echo Therapeutics Initiates Clinical Study of Its Symphony(TM) Transdermal Continuous Glucose Monitoring System in Patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes

Echo Therapeutics, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ECTE) announced that it has initiated a clinical study of its Symphony(TM) Transdermal Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (tCGM System) in patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The Company expects to complete and announce the results of the study in the third quarter of 2008. Echo's non-invasive Symphony tCGM System consists of its Prelude(TM) SkinPrep System, which incorporates patented and leading-edge skin permeation control technology, and wireless transmission and proprietary transdermal biosensor technologies.
