Reports on bradycardia findings from Brigham and Women's Hospital provide new insights

2010 DEC 19 -- Data detailed in 'Atrial pacing or ventricular backup-only pacing in implantable cardioverter-defibrillator patients' have been presented. According to recent research published in the journal Heart Rhythm, "The need for pacing support in typical ICD patients is unknown. This study sought to determine whether atrial pacing with ventricular backup pacing is equivalent to ventricular backup pacing only in implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) patients."
