Reports on Otorhinolaryngology Findings from University of Alexandria Provide New Insights

2012 APR 22 -- Investigators discuss in "The palatal island mucoperiosteal flap for primary intraoral reconstruction following tumor ablative surgery" new findings in Otorhinolaryngology. According to the authors of recent research from Alexandria, Egypt, "Reconstruction of intraoral mucosal defects following tumor ablative surgery can be a challenging problem. The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of the palatal island mucoperiosteal flap (PIMPF) in reconstructing intraoral defects resulting from ablative tumor resections."
