New Cochlear Implants Study Findings Have Been Published by Investigators at University Hospital

2012 MAY 6 -- "Electrical artifacts caused by the cochlear implant (Cl) contaminate electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings from implanted individuals and corrupt auditory evoked potentials (AEPs). Independent component analysis (ICA) is efficient in attenuating the electrical Cl artifact and AEPs can be successfully reconstructed," scientists in Jena, Germany report.
