Scientists at Sakakibara Heart Institute of Okayama Publish Research in Cor Triatriatum

2012 MAY 6 -- A report, "Port-access heart surgery for the treatment of cor triatriatum with atrial septal defect: Report of a case," is newly published data in Surgery Today. "A 40-year-old woman was admitted because of progressive dyspnea on exertion. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an atrial septal defect and an abnormal membranous structure separating the left atrium into proximal and distal chambers," scientists writing in the journal Surgery Today report.
