National research council spin-off signs marketing and licensing agreement

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) announced that Novadaq Technologies, Inc., a spin-off company from NRC's Institute for Biodiagnostics (IBD), has entered into a worldwide exclusive cross licensing and marketing agreement with Akorn, Inc. (Nasdaq: AKRN).

The agreement covers Novadaq's Digital Laser Imaging System (DLIS) and Akorn's Contrast Imaging Agent (CIA).

NRC-IBD scientists Dr. John Docherty and PhD student Rick Mangat developed Novadaq's innovative imaging system for use in surgery on patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). The Digital Laser Imaging System uses laser technology to "see" how well the heart...
