MRI company reports profitable first quarter

Fonar Corp. (FONR), which dubs itself "The MRI Specialist," announced financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2005, ending September 30, 2004.

Revenues for the first quarter of 2005 increased 89% to $25.1 million, compared to $13.3 million in the first quarter of 2004. Overall revenues attributable to the company's medical equipment (MRI; magnetic resonance imaging) segment increased 164% in the first quarter of 2005 to $19.3 million compared to $7.3 million in the first quarter of 2004.
