Research results from University of Birmingham, Department of Surgery update knowledge of colon cancer risk factors

Researchers detail in "Frequency and impact of extracolonic findings detected at computed tomographic colonography in a symptomatic population," new data in colon cancer. According to a study from Birmingham, the United Kingdom, "Extracolonic findings are frequently recognized alongside colonic pathology at computed tomographic colonography (CTC). This study assessed the clinical impact of extracolonic findings in a symptomatic population at high risk of colorectal cancer."
