Study results from University Hospital in the area of astrocytoma published

Researchers detail in "MR and CT imaging of 24 pleomorphic xanthoastrocytomas (PXA) and a review of the literature," new data in astrocytoma. According to a study from Madrid, Spain, "The aim of our study was to review the imaging appearance of PXA, a rare and usually low-grade, astrocytic tumor that typically occurs in young adults. The clinical presentation, location and imaging findings on CT (n=15) and MR (n=18) of 24 pathologically confirmed PXA were retrospectively reviewed."
