"Several kinds of resins were investigated in the first step and D101 macroporous resin was selected for cleaning-up naringin (NAR), a major flavonoid glycoside from Fructus aurantii. In the subsequent column chromatography, 10% aqueous ethanol was first used to elute the column to remove the undesired constituents and 70% aqueous ethanol was used to elute the target," scientists writing in the journal Chromatographia report.
