Arthroscopic treatment of lateral epicondylitis feasible

Arthroscopic treatment is feasible for patients with lateral epicondylitis, the condition better known as "tennis elbow."

In a recent study, orthopedic surgeons in Morocco evaluated outcomes "in a preliminary series of patients who underwent arthroscopic treatment of tennis elbow in order to appreciate the effectiveness of this method."

"Between September 2000 and February 2004, we treated arthroscopically fourteen patients with epicondylitis which failed to respond to medical treatment given for a mean duration of 15.8 months," noted B. Sennoune and coauthors at CHU Ibn R'ch in Casablanca.
