Fluorescence-based tomography profiles the tumor environment.

According to a study from the United States, "methods that allow robust imaging of specific molecular targets and biological processes in vivo should have widespread applications in biology and clinical medicine. Here we use a quantitative, three-dimensional fluorescence-mediated tomographic technique (FMT) that enables rapid measurements of fluorochrome-based affinity tags in live xenograft models."
