Research conducted at University of Kansas has provided new information about polyps

Fresh data on polyps are presented in the report 'Narrow-band imaging colonoscopy--a pilot feasibility study for the detection of polyps and correlation of surface patterns with polyp histologic diagnosis.' According to recent research from the United States, "Colonoscopy is the preferred screening method for colorectal cancer. However, it has a substantial miss rate for colon polyps, and several techniques have been attempted to improve this limitation."
