New findings from University of Florida, Department of Surgery in the area of pancreatitis described

New investigation results, 'Laparoscopic pancreatic surgery: what now and what next,' are detailed in a study published in Current Gastroenterology Reports. "In recent years, improved laparoscopic skill sets have expanded surgical management of pancreatic disease to encompass pancreatic resection, tumor enucleation, débridement, and drainage. With the aid of radiologically guided drainage catheters, necrosectomy for acute pancreatitis can be delayed and accomplished laparoscopically in a select patient population," scientists in the United States report.
