The situation came to light when the bacteria supplier notified CDC they were suspicious of Harris' qualifications to handle the bacteria. CDC then notified local health authorities.
Prosecutor David Landefeld said Larry Wayne Harris is accused of receiving stolen property, forgery, falsification and unlawful possession of a dangerous substance. He was to be arraigned within a week of the indictment.
