Healthy Dieter Lifestyle Won't Be Shellfish

For connoisseurs of raw shellfish, eating risky food is just a part of a lifestyle that needs some improvement, Rhode Island researchers have suggested.

Investigators hypothesized that people who take chances with their dietary health by ignoring the risks mollusks probably take other lifestyle risks as well.

S.F. Altekruse and colleagues tested their hypothesis, reporting their results in the article, "Associations Between Diet and Health Behavior - Results from the 1992 Rhode Island Behavioral Risk Factor Survey." (Journal of Behavioral Medicine, June 1995;18(3):225-232).
