Investigators studied emergency room records at hospitals in the United States and found that not all BB gun shootings are accidental. A.M. McNeill and J. Lee Annest reported these and other findings in their article entitled, "The Ongoing Hazard of BB and Pellet Gun-Related Injuries in the United States," (Annals of Emergency Medicine, August 1995;26(2):187-194).
