BB and Pellet Guns Still Bring Many to ERs

Boys will BB boys, as the old adage (nearly) goes. A recent look at injuries caused by BB and pellet guns bears out the revised saying.

Investigators studied emergency room records at hospitals in the United States and found that not all BB gun shootings are accidental. A.M. McNeill and J. Lee Annest reported these and other findings in their article entitled, "The Ongoing Hazard of BB and Pellet Gun-Related Injuries in the United States," (Annals of Emergency Medicine, August 1995;26(2):187-194).
