Among the findings:
lower death rates of Hispanics aged 65 and older than non-Hispanic whites;
higher levels of diabetes, smoking and overweight among U.S. Hispanics than among whites; but
lower levels of blood pressure and serum cholesterol than among non-Hispanic whites.
