A report on the 1,238 laws was released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which now wants to examine how those laws discourage or promote smoking. It comes amid efforts by the Clinton administration and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to curb teen-age smoking by restricting tobacco.
