Product Simplifies Compliance with Guidelines for TB Exposure

Uvex Safety, Inc., Smithfield, Rhode Island, has introduced a new family of N95 disposable particulate respirators designed to help healthcare and emergency medical organizations comply with recently-enacted regulations for respiratory protection for workers exposed to tuberculosis (TB).

The uvex/Pro-Tech N95 respirators enable users of existing uvex HEPA-Tech respirators to update their equipment at about half the cost without fit-testing for employees. Because they have the same physical design, the uvex N95 respirators allow users to switch without a re-fit test if they have been trained and fit tested with the HEPA-Tech models.
