More Two-Year-Olds Receive Protection from Infectious Disease

Immunization rates for Washington state children under the age of two have increased by nearly 20 percent during the last three years, according to a national report released.

Statewide, about 75 percent of this age group have been fully immunized. The rate is slightly higher in King County, where 78 percent of two year olds have been immunized.

The rates are reported in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, which is published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
