Spotlight Shifts Away from Strawberries

Nearly two weeks after setting off a panic by blaming strawberries for an outbreak of a stomach-churning parasite, the Texas Department of Health changed direction and lifted its caution against strawberries.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also released a report regarding ongoing investigations. These events raised serious questions about the implied connection between strawberries and the Cyclospora outbreak. Medical researchers agree.
