CDC Lassoes Rodeo Injury Stats

The rodeo bullrider's bravado sometimes ends in coma or paralysis, and health officials said safety must become a participant at the nations' rodeos.

"Severe bull riding-associated brain and spinal cord injuries and permanent disability among young males" were revealed in a report released on rodeo safety from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report (1996;45(37):796-98).
