The research was conducted at Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Vaccine Study Center of Northern California, Oakland. In a study published in a recent issue of The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, researchers found that the introduction of the HibTITER vaccine for use in infants coincided with the virtual disappearance of invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) disease within the Kaiser Permanente system.
