Rotary Grant Awarded for Dengue Prevention

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently announced that the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International granted a $500,000 award to the Rotary Club of Fort Collins, CO., to prevent dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).

The award is one of the Rotary Foundation's 3-H (health, hunger, and humanity) grants.

According to an article in the March-April 1997 issue of the CDC's publication, Focus, the program is based on a three-year proposal developed by Duane Gubler, director, and Gary Clark, chief, Dengue Branch, DVBID.
