James Holcombe, Tuberculosis Division of the State Health Department, said his office is looking into similar TB problems in at least three other Mississippi counties.
TB was once a major killer in the United States, and around the world it is still the most common cause of death from an infectious disease. Health officials have tried to control the disease by tracking down carriers and persuading them to take antibiotics.
