Rotary International Mobilizes World's Largest Immunization Effort

Rotary Club members from the U.S. and around the world joined forces on January 16, 1998, in India to stem the outbreak of polio - still the leading crippler of children.

On January 18, more than 125 million children were to be immunized in a single day against this disease, thanks to the efforts of a volunteer army organized by Rotary International.
